Loading and access
Portishead is dominated by the modern Marina development and the post-2000 estates spreading inland, with a smaller older core around the High Street. Marina flats are nearly all lift access with a delivery bay — easy if you’ve booked the bay, fiddly if you haven’t. The older streets around the High Street are tighter. I do the carrying — sack truck, gloves, blankets to protect paintwork. Where the van can’t park within twenty metres I’ll factor walking distance into the load time, but I won’t add a hidden surcharge for it.
