About this service
What tv removal bristol actually looks like.
Old TVs come out of every Bristol loft and living-room declutter — CRT tubes from pre-2010, plasmas from the mid-2000s, flat-screens that died last Tuesday. All are Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment and all need a WEEE-compliant route, not a skip. I bring blankets for the screens, a drill for wall brackets, and a second pair of hands if it’s a 55-inch-plus panel. Per-item pricing, no VAT, no call-out fee.
Why TVs can’t go in the general bin
CRT tubes contain lead glass that needs processing separately; flat-panel TVs contain mercury backlight lamps on older models and recoverable metals and plastics on newer ones. Council bins won’t take them, kerbside fly-tipping gets you a fixed-penalty notice, and household recycling centres are fine but want you to queue on a Saturday. A van pickup is the fastest clean answer.
Wall-mounted TVs and bracket removal
If the TV is on a wall bracket, I can take it down and remove the bracket too. Most brackets are four or six bolts into plasterboard anchors or wood studs; a 5-minute job. The holes get left as they are — I won’t patch and paint — but the bracket and TV leave together. Flag the size and mounting when you book.
How it works
Book a Bristol van in three steps.
- 1
Get in touch
Fill in the quote form with a few details about your move or clearance, or call us direct. The more you can tell us about access, stairs and the items involved, the tighter the price we can give you.
- 2
Receive a quote
We’ll reply with a price for your Bristol removal or clearance. Any access quirks or timing constraints are factored in up front, so the figure we send is the figure you pay.
- 3
Book the van
Confirm the date and we’ll handle the rest — loading, driving and unloading anywhere in Bristol, Bath or the South West. If it’s a clearance, waste is taken away under our waste carrier licence.

About us
Checkatrade — 9.8/10 · 164 ReviewsBristol Local Van Man — removals and clearance in Bristol.
Bristol Local Van Man is run by Nigel, a Nailsea-based owner-operator with 15+ years in removals and clearance across Bristol, Bath and the wider South West. We handle removals, rubbish clearance, house clearance and office clearance under one roof.
Most jobs are done by Nigel direct. Busy weeks and larger jobs bring in trusted local drivers Nigel has worked with for years — every one carries the same waste-carrier paperwork and works to the same fixed-price standard.
Waste is carried away under our UK registered waste carrier licence (CBDU445737), so items taken off your property go to a licensed facility rather than a side street.

Frequently asked
TV Removal Bristol— common questions.
How much does TV removal cost in Bristol?
Per-item pricing — quoted on the phone from the size and whether it’s wall-mounted. No VAT.
Can you take old CRT TVs from the loft?
Yes — very common. They’re heavier than modern flat screens so I’ll bring a sack truck and whatever’s needed for loft access.
What about the bracket holes in the wall?
I take the bracket off, but filling/painting the anchor holes isn’t part of the service. A handyman or decorator can sort that in 10 minutes with filler.
